The Niles Township Board
The Board of Trustees is presided over by Supervisor Lee Tamraz. He works with Trustees: Marilyn D. Glazer, Mark A. Collins, Maggie Zimmer and Donald J. Gelfund to conduct the business of running our township government. Other Board members are: Assessor Scott Bagnall, Clerk Charles Levy and Collector Dina Modi.

Lee Tamraz has been a Niles Township Board member for over 20 years as Trustee and for the last 3 years as Supervisor. Mr. Tamraz has been a Supervising Engineer of Materials for Cook County for over 48 years. As a resident of Morton Grove for more than 41 years, he is the former Chairman of the Morton Grove Traffic and Safety Commission and a former Plan Commissioner member. Mr. Tamraz is also a member of the American Legion Post #134 and a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. As Supervisor, Mr. Tamraz pledges to oversee the continual progress of Niles Township Government - the government that is closest to our citizens and is pleased to have the opportunity to serve the best interests of the people of our community.

Charles Levy has been involved with Niles Township Government since he became a Trustee in 1979. He was then elected Clerk for the first time in 1989 and has since then served in that capacity. A 32 year resident of Lincolnwood, he is a member of the Township Officials of Cook County Clerks' Division and is a member and past President of the IL Township Attorneys' Association. He has been a practicing attorney for over 40 years. Clerk Levy was a trustee for the Lincolnwood School Board 74 prior to being elected a township official and is an active member of the Lincolnwood Jewish Congregation.

Scott Bagnall is an attorney and a certified Illinois Assessing Officer as well as a licensed real estate broker. He is a graduate of the Loyola School of Law and DePaul University. A long time resident of Skokie, Mr. Bagnall is a former Chicago Police Officer, an Illinois Wing Legal Officer, a Check Pilot for the Civil Air Patrol, and past President of the Cook County Township Assessors' Association. Assessor Bagnall views the Niles Township Assessor's Office as an informational taxpayer advocacy and public service office. He strives to ensure that all taxpayers receive timely, courteous, competent and relevant assistance, conducted at all time with unquestioned impartiality.

Marilyn D. Glazer, who is in her second term as a Trustee, owns her own real estate brokerage company, Marilyn D. Glazer, REALTOR®, and is President of Glazer Enterprises, Inc., a company specializing in real estate education and real estate expert-witness testimony. She also holds an Illinois insurance broker’s license. She currently serves as Treasurer of the Niles Township Food Pantry Foundation; is a Director of the Township Officials of Cook County, Trustee Division, President of the Association of Illinois Real Estate Educators; and Chairs Congregation B'nai Jehoshua Beth Elohim’s Sisterhood’s Past President Council. She is a Federal Political Coordinator for the National Association of REALTORS. She previously served as a Commissioner on the Skokie Zoning Board of Appeals, as a Director of the Skokie Caucus Party, and as Chairman of Oakton College’s Real Estate Advisory Committee, She is a past president of Women In Real Estate and of the North Shore Board of REALTORS, and is a past Vice President and Director of the Illinois Association of REALTORS. She is a past president of the Central Plaza Condominium Association and is a 30-year resident of Skokie. Trustee Glazer has a BA from Northeastern Illinois University, and an M.S.Ed. from Northern Illinois University.

Maggie Zimmer has always felt a deep commitment to Morton Grove. Trustee Zimmer has lived in Morton Grove her entire life. She has a long history of volunteering for School District 67 PTO/PTA, St. Martha’s Church, the Boys and Girls Scouts, and the Morton Grove Family Fest. For years, she was the driving force behind the Morton Grove Days Commission where she was Chairperson of the July 4th Parade and also served as President. She is no stranger to community activism, having organized residents of School District 67 to stop the sale of school property. Mrs. Zimmer finds that being a Niles Township Trustee is very challenging and rewarding. Maggie is committed to giving 100% to all the residents of Niles Township. Now more than ever, with these hard economic times, she has voiced the two most important things she has committed herself to: fiscal responsibility and making sure the food pantry services reach as many deserving residents as possible. Trustee Zimmer continues to work as a Manufacturers’ Sales Rep for over 13 years with the same company.

Mark A. Collins, a Skokie resident since 1996, is enthusiastic about his family, friends, career, politics, the environment and especially his community. He is extremely active in his community and passionate about education. He was Vice President of Legislation on the School District 69 PTA Board from 2001 to 2006. He volunteers in many school activities. He continues to be a member of the Advisory Commission on Human Services for the Village of Skokie. As Trustee, he has become liaison to the Niles Township Food Pantry.
Donald J. Gelfund is a Realtor and a longtime resident of Lincolnwood. He continues his commitment to the community with his election as Trustee to Niles Township Board. He was appointed to the Village of Lincolnwood's 911 Emergency Telephone Sysytem Board. In 2005, Mr. Gelfund was appointed to serve as Chairman of the newly created Traffic Commission and continues this position today. He has also created and maintains a website for Lincolnwood Fest, an annual carnival that benefits the Lincolnwood Community Center.

Dina Modi is a 30 year Skokie resident. She earned her BA degree in Psychology and Sociology from Women's University in Bombay, India. She earned a Medical Technologist's Degree from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists in 1972. Mrs. Modi has volunteered in numerous positions such as Cultural Secretary for the Indian Community of Niles Township along with being Treasurer, Board Member and Grand Sponsor of the Ghandi Memorial Trust Fund and Secretary of Gujarat Cultural Association of Chicago. She is Deputy Registrar for the Cook County Voter Registration effort as well as serving for a number of years as Collector for Niles Township Government.
